Introducing: The Reliability Academy Scholarship Program
The purpose of the Reliability Academy Scholarship Program is to enable students who cannot afford our course fees to enrol in our online training courses at significantly reduced fees.
The Scholarship Program is primarily for students in developing nations, in medium-sized companies that operate in asset-intensive industries, or for individuals whose companies do not invest in their training.
However, anyone is free to apply for a scholarship and we will look at the merits of each application individually. We know that recent years have been a tough time for many Maintenance & Reliability professionals and we will not exclude anyone simply based on where you live or whether you are employed or not.
Our Scholarship Program covers 75% of the course fees. That is massive value and our way of giving back to the Maintenance & Reliability community at large.
We now also have payment plans allowing you to pay the remaining 25% over 3 months.

Scholarship stories
Frank's story: from mechanical maintenance to maintenance planner
For over 18 years, Frank built a career as a mechanical engineer and power plant maintenance engineer in Nigeria's power industry. As a long-standing member of TMI Africa, he kept looking for ways to strengthen his career. The pressures of Nigeria's economy made investing in his own development a real challenge.
Our Scholarship Program exists so maintenance and reliability professionals who pay for their own training can still enrol. It covers 75% of course fees: PS100 or PM100 at USD 495, paid in full or in three monthly payments.
"I knew this course would help strengthen my career as a growing engineer in the profession," Frank shared. He applied, was awarded a place, and enrolled in PS100: Implementing Maintenance Planning & Scheduling.
The course opened his eyes to gaps he had not realised existed. "I learnt so many things that we were not doing very well, or not even practising at all, in my organisation," he explained. Some of those gaps existed because the knowledge was not there. Others persisted because of cost-cutting, or a lack of awareness at the ownership level.
That knowledge soon mattered on the plant. Frank became the first, and so far only, person in his company to complete the course and earn the certificate. When his organisation's sole planner and scheduler retired, with no formal handover in place, they needed someone ready to step in.
"The company needed to replace him, and I was the only qualified staff," he said. Rather than send him on more training first, the organisation moved him from mechanical maintenance into the planner and scheduler role. The course is the foundation he draws on as he builds the planning and scheduling function from the ground up.
Looking ahead, Frank wants to grow in the role and become one of the notable maintenance planners in Nigeria's power, oil, and gas industry.

The Scholarship Program is for individuals only.
We will look at the economic / financial situation of each applicant and whether they (should) have the ability to pay full course fees or not, now or in the near future.
We will look at employment situation and history of each applicant and look for signs that the organisation the applicant works for is likely to support implementation of what is taught during the course.
We will look for signs of motivation and review the track record of achievements in your personal and/or professional life.
Ultimately, we're looking to help people that can and want to make a difference in their organisation and help build a Reliable Plant that becomes a force for good in their local community.
