What PS300 will cover
PS300 is the manager-facing version of our Planning & Scheduling curriculum. Where PS100 teaches planners how to run the process and PS200 brings experienced planners up to a shared standard, PS300 gives maintenance managers the mental model they need to lead a P&S rollout and recognise good work without doing the planning themselves.
You will learn what to expect from your planning and scheduling team, how to spot the early warning signs of a schedule that won’t hold, and the leadership behaviours that turn a planning function into a real productivity engine.

What Planning & Scheduling Actually Is
A clear definition of the planning and scheduling process, the distinction between the two roles, and why most plants are confused about both.
What Good Looks Like
The leading indicators of a healthy planning function — schedule compliance, wrench time, backlog quality — and the levels of performance you should expect at 6, 12, and 24 months in.
How to Lead a P&S Rollout
The decisions only a manager can make: scope, sequencing, role assignments, governance routines, and how to protect the planning function from being absorbed back into firefighting.
Common Failure Modes (and How to Catch Them Early)
The handful of patterns that derail P&S rollouts every time — schedule breakers, planner-superhero syndrome, KPI gaming — and the questions a manager should be asking in weekly reviews to surface them.
Working with Your Planners
How to give planners the cover and authority they need, what to delegate, what to keep, and how to coach a planning team without becoming their senior planner.

My passion is for continuous improvement and keeping things simple. Through the Reliability Academy, I help Maintenance & Reliability professionals around the globe – people like yourself – improve their plant’s reliability and their organisation’s bottom line.
I am a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Practitioner (CMRP), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) and a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).
But those are just credentials, it is my industry experience and practical approach to the topics I teach that our students and clients appreciate the most.

PS100 teaches planners how to implement the planning and scheduling process end-to-end. PS200 brings experienced planners up to a shared knowledge standard. PS300 is the same body of knowledge framed for maintenance managers — what to expect from a planning function, how to lead a rollout, how to recognise a healthy schedule — without learning to plan or schedule yourself.
Probably not. PS100 (if you’re new to planning) or PS200 (if you’re experienced) are designed for the work itself. PS300 is for the manager whose planners are taking those courses.
Yes — we plan to offer the first cohort a launch-pricing discount. The discount and any cohort caps will be detailed in the launch announcement.
Yes. PS100 is available now for your planners, and our coaching programs — the Reliability Strategy Sprint and the Tool Time Sprint — work with you and your team to implement P&S in your plant. Book a call if you want to discuss whether a coaching sprint fits your situation.
The SMRP discontinued their Approved Education Provider program in 2020 so we can’t market new courses as accredited. We design the content to the same standards we held during accreditation. The course can be used for credit hours towards ongoing professional development and maintaining CMRP status.
