LC100: Leadership & Culture for Reliability

Build the leadership behaviours and the team culture that make the rest of the Road to Reliability™ framework stick. Without this layer, planning, preventive maintenance, and defect elimination decay back into reactive habits within months.

What you will learn

What LC100 will cover

The LC100 Leadership & Culture course is in development. It teaches the leadership behaviours, team rituals, and management routines that turn the technical disciplines of the Road to Reliability™ framework into a durable way of working.

You will learn what good looks like from the perspective of an operating site — and the practical tools to move your own team in that direction without resorting to motivational poster culture.

Topics we’ll cover include:

  • What a Reliability Culture Actually Looks Like

A concrete description of the day-to-day behaviours and decision patterns you see in high-reliability operating sites — and the ones you stop seeing.

  • The Leadership Behaviours That Move the Culture

The specific behaviours — what leaders pay attention to, what they tolerate, what they coach — that compound into culture change over months, not years.

  • Setting the Right Operating Routines

Daily and weekly routines — short interval control, planning meetings, defect reviews — that build the muscle memory of a proactive operation.

  • Choosing the KPIs That Drive the Right Behaviour

Why most maintenance KPIs reinforce reactive behaviour, and the small set of leading indicators that actually pull the organisation forward.

  • Managing the Change When You Take This Back to Site

Practical change-management tools for the predictable resistance and backsliding you will encounter. We use the same approach we apply in client engagements.

Yes — we plan to offer the first cohort a launch-pricing discount. Details will be in the launch announcement.

No. LC100 is designed to stand on its own. That said, leaders who have been through PS100 or PM100 tend to find it easier to translate the leadership lessons into specific routines for their teams, because they already have a shared technical vocabulary.

Maintenance and Operations leaders — from frontline supervisors through to plant managers — who want their site to operate proactively and have realised that without a leadership and culture layer, the technical work does not stick.

The SMRP discontinued their Approved Education Provider program in 2020 so we can’t market new courses as accredited. We design the content to the same standards we held during accreditation. The course can be used for credit hours towards ongoing professional development.
