SASA Polyester: 80+ trained, and two courses translated into Turkish
When SASA Polyester engaged Reliability Academy in 2023, the plan was one planning and scheduling course for one group. Within twelve months they had put more than 80 maintenance and reliability professionals through training across three purchase orders. And the engagement led to something bigger: full Turkish versions of our PS100 and PS200 courses.

The problem
The challenge
SASA Polyester is one of Türkiye’s largest polyester and chemicals producers, with large-scale production in Adana. In 2023 the company set out to build planning and scheduling capability across its maintenance organisation, not by sending a few individuals on a course, but by training the broader team to a common standard.
There was a practical complication: not everyone on the team wanted to study in English. That mattered, and it shaped where this engagement went.
The solution
What we did
The engagement started in July 2023 with a first purchase order for 40 seats on PS200 Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, with an allowance to upgrade five participants to PS100. Erik ran a live kick-off session with the SASA team on 8 August 2023 covering why planning and scheduling matters, what the course would demand of participants, and how completion would be tracked.
SASA came back twice within the year. In February 2024 a second purchase order added PM100 Developing & Improving Preventive Maintenance Programs, 37 enrolments, plus further PS200 seats. In July 2024 a third purchase order added a mixed PS100/PS200 group.
The most consequential part came in May 2024. As part of that year’s engagement, Reliability Academy committed to a complete Turkish translation of the PS100 and PS200 courses: slides, resources, webpages, quizzes, exams and course videos. By the third cohort, most SASA participants were enrolled in the Turkish-language versions. Those translations now exist for every Turkish-speaking client we serve; SASA is the reason they exist.
Throughout the engagement, SASA’s training coordinator received weekly progress reports on every enrolled participant, a rhythm that started in August 2023 and continues in 2026. Every participant has lifetime access to their courses, and the reports show people still logging in and completing modules three years after enrolment.

- Course completion of 87% for the July 2023 PS200 cohort, 78% for the February 2024 PM100 cohort, and 88% for the July 2024 cohort
- PM100 rated 4.6 out of 5 overall by SASA participants, with course videos at 4.8
- Three purchase orders in twelve months, the clearest signal a client can send
- PS100 and PS200 fully available in Turkish as a direct result of this engagement
